What to expect
Your first 30 nights.
Real gum change runs on a timeline. Here's what's normal, what's not, and when to expect the difference.
Get set up right
- Charge fully on the base before the first brush

A little tingling is normal
- Mild tingling at the gum line as tissue wakes up. Expected
- Extra saliva in the first few sessions is fine

Quick start
Up and running
in four steps.
Nothing to learn. The only thing that changes from your old brush is where you point it.
Charge fully
Set the brush on the round base and let it reach a full charge before first use. Between brushes, that's where it lives.
Press to start
One press powers on. The 660nm and 830nm light comes on with it. Look for the glow through the bristles.
Pick your mode
Tap the power button to cycle Clean, Sensitive, Polish, White. Clean is home. Sensitive for the first week if gums are tender.
2 minutes, 2× a day
The timer pulses every 30 seconds: move to the next quarter. Tilt the bristles into the gum line and let the brush do the work.
The four modes

The modes change how the sonic head moves, not what the light does. Tap one.
Clean
Best for: every night
Home base. Full sonic clean with the light on the whole two minutes. If you never touch the mode button again, this is the one you'll be on.
What's in the head
Two wavelengths.
Two depths.
Bristles clean what they touch. The light in the head is aimed at the part they can't: the gum line and below it.
Red. The gum line.
Visible red light, aimed where the gum meets the tooth. The edge you see when you smile.
Near-infrared. Below it.
Just past visible. Longer wavelength, deeper reach, into the pocket where brushes and floss stop.
Toothpaste can't get there. Floss can't. But light can.
Replacement heads
Fresh head every 3 months.
Bristles wear down with use, and a worn head cleans less. Most people swap theirs every 90 days. Set yours to arrive automatically, so you never have to think about it.

Email supportThe head isn't glowing. Is the light on?
Look at the head from the side in a dim room while it's running. The red 660nm light is visible; the 830nm near-infrared isn't, by design. If you see no red at all, charge it fully and try again. Still nothing? Email us with your order number.
My gums bled the first few nights.
Common in week one, especially if they bled with your old brush. Don't go easier. Keep the two minutes, tilt into the gum line, and let it settle. If it's getting worse after two weeks instead of better, write to us.
How hard should I press?
Barely. The sonic head does the work. Rest the bristles at the gum line at a slight angle and glide. Pressing harder doesn't clean more, it just flattens the bristles.
Can I use my regular toothpaste?
Yes. Any toothpaste. Pea-sized. Nothing about the light changes what you put on the brush.
How long does a charge last, and can I travel with it?
A full charge covers weeks of twice-daily brushing, so a trip without the base is fine. Pack the head cap. Charging is USB-C at the base.
